Repeat or Rut?

The last card I made with the pull out book mark was fun to make and I loved it so much, I decided to make another one.  I needed a birthday card for a friend so I chose these colors that are her favorites and they are the colors for one of the challenges.  Don't you love it when you can use a sketch and colors and themes of challenges all in one card?
I did not take multiple photos of the different pieces this time.  The beautiful floral image and butterfly, which I colored with Copics,  are by From the Heart. There is a sentiment about time on the lower half of the bookmarker.
The Happy Birthday die cut is by Spellbinders.
Again, as for the last book mark, I used a die to cut the top of the blue backing.

A Card - Finally!!!

It has been way too long since my last post.  Sometimes life gets busy and complicated and that is what has been happening lately.  But it has only just begun -  yard work, planting, and oh, yes, painting four rooms in our home are going to be taking precedence over card making.  And then let's throw in some remodeling and moving my mom into our home.  The worst of that is that I will be giving up my lovely craft room.  Hard adjustments ahead but it is what it is.  We have seasons of life, some harder than others but God's grace is sufficient for each stage.
But for now, I have a card.  Yeah!  Thanks to my friend, Karen, at Word Art Wednesday.  She asked me if I could make a card with this weeks verse and I was very happy to take her up on it.  I really needed some time in my craft room!

I love the book of Philippians and this prayer (and one in Colossians) is one I prayed for my children when they were in college.

Using the sketch at Stamplorations, I made a bookmark to slip inside the front piece.
The lovely "Prayer" dimension sticker has been in my stash for years.  I have been saving it for just the right card and I think this was the one.

I made the back of the bookmark by using a die , positioning it so I only cut the top in the Cuttlebug by aligning the plates to not cover the entire die and then cut the rest of the marker with my paper cutter.  Maybe this makes sense if I show you the die I used:

Here are a few more views of the card and bookmark:

Thanks for looking and commenting.  Now head over to WAW , download the verse, and play the challenge.  I'm going back to masking off windows for painting!
